Creativity the new language millennials understand. I can't believe how far we've come as a country I can't begin to even talk about how far we've come as the world, it's been an amazing journey with bumps and hiccups here and there but with us not stopping at all. I mean how could you stop if the train is up and running? Millennials have introduced so many new things, we've taken it upon ourselves to also redefine things we feel are holding us back, things we feel are not doing justice to us. We also have done the unimaginable we've introduced new careers and have made careers out of our hobbies. I mean just like the saying goes 'do what you love until what you love pays you' we've done exactly that and I must say we are headed for the stars because even those leading us are doing an exceptional job. The Modern Woman; She's Boss!

Source Malabela Photography Huuu! *I had to take a deep breath and relax*. The modern women and her modern rules find us questioning some of the things we settle for. She makes us wonder if at times we make the correct decisions or not. We live within the 21st century, with life evolving every single day and "new" rules created. We have witnessed women going through unimaginable things; from gender based violence (which is now labeled a visible pandemic), to learning how to adapt to submitting not only to their partners, men at their work place, male friends but men as a whole and finally women getting into marriages and still having to prove that they are "wife material". All of this has forced women to being these beasts that live to prove, defend and protect themselves. I don't know how we got to this point but this is a pandemic on its own. Women are supposed to be for women (isn't that the right logic?) We are supposed to have e

Don't Touch Me #reportrape

Source  Malabela Photography A gentle, yet rough grab on the throat  accompanied by a push towards the wall. Panicking, not sure whether to scream or not. Questioning myself about what could  happen next. To be precise, my body turned cold and numb as I watched my so-called  boyfriend force himself on me. The consistent whispering in my ear saying… 'I won't hurt you, relax you'll be fine'. My body turned from cold to freezing. Do I run downstairs to inform his family of this  imposition?  Do I fist up and fight back  against this violation?  I am 19, dating  someone I thought I can trust. How do I look  my mother in the eye and tell her that I am  sexually active?  I am afraid to engage my mother in such conversations. The 19 year old girl in me became detached, cold and  untrusting because of what one guy did.  Would you like to take a bath, have a sandwich and when are you getting dressed?  Words of a man who just took advantage a vulnerable

Entrepreneurial Corner (part 4 - the branch)

'if you are failing to come up with solutions to solve people's problems then we can't call you an entrepreneur'. Entrepreneurship is the new norm and it seems like that's what everyone wants to strive for but it takes a true entrepreneur who has discovered a problem and is willing to not only find a solution but also be consistent within that solution that they have found. Kagiso Mphahlele a co-founder of a private company called iGrowGroup. His also an accounting graduate who transitioned his life from the 9-5 norm to being an inspirational speaker and a global coach that helps individuals to find their purpose and live impactful lives. We all have the entrepreneurship spirit within us it's up to us to let that spirit come to life. In 2019 when Kagiso started co-founding at iGrow Group thats when he realized he had a passion for solving problems, coming up with activities that deal with team building, mentoring and life coaching. Young people are on the run there's no doubt about it. We are trying with everything we have to "make it" and one of the ways is by healing people emotionally through music and poetry. This month we celebrate heritage month and it's all about celebrating ones culture, tradition and heritage. I've always loved standing in front of other young people and doing a surname praise our parents used to do whenever they were happy or when we had a family gathering but I always failed because I didn't know all the words I had to say (what a disappointment). Thato Radebe (AzaniaMa Blek) a poet that heals and educates people (young people in particular) through poetry. I love culture, I love my culture and I love how culture not only sets you different but gives you some sort of dignity. It allows you to stand out and be different, it also allows you to represent yourself and be proud about it. I didn't think in 2020 we had young people who were culturally
