Women Taking Up Space; Part 1 - Corporate Queen

What a time to be alive, from being under house arrest “lockdown” to living in the midst of a pandemic. The country has taken an unusual turn. However, that hasn’t stopped women from chasing their dreams and achieving their goals.

We constantly define a woman as a strong person, someone who is fearless, a go-getter, ambitious and driven. Well met Lindokuhle Yolanda Dube the CEO of a company called Msebenzi Wethu Services that deals and focus on laundry, gardening and your daily services that you may require as a person. Naturally being a female in South Africa is tough, we are constantly fighting battles that we ourselves didn’t even ask for, we faced with battles that are beyond us, battles that force us to be strong even in the midst of a deadly pandemic; Covid- 19.

It takes a grounded, steady and focus woman to take up space, even in a society that is male dominated. Words like “a woman’s place is in the kitchen” “your duty is to raise the kids and the man will provide” has made some women give up on their dreams because they feel they are not worthy enough to be in the same space their “partner” is in.  ‘I see myself  becoming an inspiration to many young people. I would like to generate millions and have 7 branches around the country for my company and probably be on Forbes’ said Lindokuhle.

We all have a woman we look up to, even if it’s a woman in our close proximity or a bit further. Lindokuhle looks up to Oprah Winfrey, because she empowered herself, helped young people who had potential and those who didn't believe in themselves to reach their wildest dreams.

The world is waiting for a fealress woman to stand her ground. A woman who is ready to redefine the male dominated world but also the world is waiting for a woman who is ready to not only be a queen, wear a crown but also a woman whose ready to pick up another womans crown when it falls becaue thats what a queen does.

The future is looking bright with the-like of Lindokuhle Dube.

  1. Inspiration to equip is still going beyond. Like when she mentioned that woman needs to come out from the mind set of only man can work into the well looking companies in the offices... Yes a man is a provider as well as a woman is a helper, that serve even in the office management a woman has potential to run that business and CEO and etc, not only be in the "kitchen" because even man are also in kitchens... #woman take it to the space too and be open minded to catch you dream vision to success. As a young male entrepreneur, I heart you Miss LY Dube that you never set back. A wise man once told me that in quoting "there is no office hours for a leader".

  2. Yeboooooooo, to say I'm inspired will be an understatement and I wanna let you know that you'll have more than 7 branches and you'll be amazed how far you've com . Not everyone can take their stand and you use the ideas they have to carry them, I hope they see through you and one day they be like " I look up to you, Liindokuhle when you started your own company I knew I had to take my stand too" keep it up and may God bless you abundantly
